प्रधानमंत्री, मुख्यमंत्रियों और मंत्रियों के 30 दिन तक हिरासत में रहने के बाद उन्हें पद से हटाने का प्रावधान करने वाले तीन विवादित विधेयकों पर विचार के लिए गठित संयुक्त संसदीय समिति (JPC) में शामिल होने के मुद्दे पर विपक्षी इंडिया गठबंधन में फूट पड़ गई है। विपक्षी गठबंधन बिहार चुनाव से पहले ही भाजपा के इस दांव पर दो खेमों में बंट गया है। कांग्रेस जहां, इस समिति में शामिल होने को इच्छुक दिख रही है, वहीं उसके दो प्रमुख सहयोगी दल ममता बनर्जी की तृणमूल कांग्रेस और अखिलेश यादव की समाजवादी पार्टी ने JPC में शामिल होने से इनकार कर दिया है।
